The young Egyptian comedian Mohammad Hunaidi said that he has “all the respect for the people of Sudan” and that he is “not mocking them” through his role as a Sudanese person.

Hunaidi has received great criticism from Sudanese critics and journalists that his role on the cartoon series “Super Hunaidi,” aired during the holy month of Ramadan, was offensive to Sudanese people.

Hunaidi said that he did not mean at any point to be unkind to Sudan or the people of Sudan, on the contrary, he has all the love and respect for them. He has great relations with Sudanese colleagues, like the Sudanese director Saed Hamed.

Hunaidi has played many Sudanese characters in his films.

Hunaidi also said that out of 45 episodes, only one was about Sudanese people.

Egyptians should be more concerned, since he mocked them for 40 episodes, and the rest of the episodes were about Saudi and Emirati citizens, said Hunaidi.
