Husni Mubarak ensured that Saeed Saleh received top medical care

Egypt’s President Husni Mubarak issued a presidential order to have Egyptian actor Saeed Saleh admitted immediately to Dar Al Foad hospital for open heart surgery. There Saleh received top medical care, in addition to having all costs covered by the state.
Comedian actor Adel Imam asked Ala’ Mubarak, the President’s son, for assistance after Dar Al Foad declined his admittance on the basis that there were no available rooms left in the hospital.
Adel was dissatisfied with the treatment Saleh received at the previous hospital, and was compelled to seek help from the highest Egyptian authority.
According to the London based daily, Dar Al Hayat, the day after his surgery Saleh was shocked when he received a personal phone call from President Mubarak, who wanted to check on his condition. The actor expressed his sincere gratitude for the President’s call and promised his full support for his Presidency.
Previously the actor’s surgery had been postponed for two weeks due to the sensitivity of the operation, and his diabetes.
Saleh’s only daughter Hind, revealed that her father’s condition is stable and that he underwent the surgery to change three clogged arteries in his heart.
Saleh made a number of films, although he made his debut in the popular play “Madrast Al Mushaghibeen,” and he was best known for his tremendous success on stage. He is considered to be one of Egypt’s most beloved actors.
