According to the London daily Elaph, there were mixed news of the Jordanian actor Iyad Nasar who was in a car accident on the road between Cairo and Alexandria. There are news that say his condition is stable and improving, while other sources say he is under strict supervision and is currently in the ICU where he went into a coma.
Jordanian press “Saraya News” stated that Al Nasar was taken to a near by hospital in Alexandria and his condition is said to be unstable for the moment.
According to “Arabic Center” the Jordanian actor has several broken bones in his right shoulder and in one of his legs and he is undergoing medical treatment at “Al Bardi Nile” hospital.
It is said that Al Nasar participated at the Cairo 12th Festival for Television and Radio last year. Al Nasar was rewarded last year for his role in the Ramadan drama series “Abna Al Rashid, Al Amin Wa Al Ma’moun” (The Rashid’s Sons Al Amin And Al Ma’moun). Al Nasar got the golden award for his role as the “Al Ma’moun” for the historic series roles. Since then Al Nasar received many great offers from Cairo, where he ended up moving back and forth between Amman, Cairo and Alexandria, and worked on numerous projects that will be shown on television soon.
This year Al Nasar has proven himself to be a great actor once again with the television drama series “Al Ijtiyah”. Tunisian director Shawqi Al Majri directed the series and it is a production of “Al Marikz Al Arabi” (Arabic Center). The drama series was shown on ‘LBC’ channel during Ramadan.
