He's worth waiting for! Justin Bieber shows up 2 hours late for Dubai concert
Justin Bieber fans in Dubai were about to lose their temper as they waited hours on Saturday evening for the pop singer to show up.
The Canadian pop-musician “was on his way,” organizers had said from 8pm until 10 pm local time. Boos rang out in Dubai’s Sevens Stadium, fans said on Twitter.
“Any sign of #bieberdubai yet? It's a school night here Justin, have some respect yeah? Your fans have been waiting for over four hours,” tweeted Chris Birks @chrisbirks.
However, when Bieber appeared on stage, the fun began.
"Dubai I love you," Justin Bieber shouted to loud screams from the audience – some 15,000 fans of all ages and different nationalities.
A dancer dressed in a kandoorah – UAE traditional male costume- was seen on stage with Bieber, fans tweeted on the hashtag #BieberDubai.
Twitter user iKidrauhlStar Chane posted a picture on Friday showing crowds in the city’s iconic Dubai Mall coming to see Bieber.
Beliebers in Dubai have long awaited Bieber’s Believe world tour since it was announced last year. The tickets of Saturday’s concert were sold out months ago, according to event’s main website, prompting organizers to schedule a second concert in the city on Sunday May 5, 2013.
The 19-year-old singer, actor and songwriter gained good press this week when he halted his concert in Turkey temporarily during Muslim prayers.
Bieber's move was met with many positive reactions on Twitter.
“Arab artists DON'T stop there shows...Go Justin. Bieber Stops Turkey Concert 2 Honor Muslim Prayer Call,” said Maysoon Zayid on Twitter.
