Iraqi singer Kathem Al Saher held a press conference in Qatar for the 9th annual Doha musical festival.
Kathem said that he has postponed all other work to focus on “Malhamit Jaljamash” (Gilgamesh’s Masacre). He is looking for new ideas for his next album.
According to the London daily Elaph, Kathem recently composed a song for Iraqi singer Majed Al Muhandis. “Muhandis has a great voice and I would love to work with him again,” said Kathem.
The singer explained that he does not like appearing on talk shows because he feels responsible for every word he says, just like when he is on stage he feels responsible for his songs.
Kathem was accused of replacing the Kuwaiti co-host of the show ‘Taratata’ when he was invited on the show. He said that he does not interfere in these matters, adding that he never set any terms for his appearance on the show.
Kathem Al Saher is thinking of renewing his contract with music production company ‘Rotana,’ if they meet his conditions. Under ‘Rotana’ he has been free to film any song he chooses as a music video.
