The performances by the famous artists Nawal Al Zoghbi, Nabil Sho’ail and Rashed Al Majed were scheduled for the last night of the famous Kuwaiti music festival “Hala Febrayer.”
Tickets were sold out 5 days prior to the night of the performance.
The Lebanese artist Nawal AL Zoghbi was presented first. She came up on stage looking glamorous in a velvet dress that was designed by Lebanese fashion designer Eli Saab. Nawal had chosen the design of the dress as suitable for Kuwaiti culture. Nawal started her segment with the song “Ya Ma Qalo” (They Said Many Times), and her fans interacted with her with enthusiasm.
According to the London daily Elaph, Nawal sang most of the songs from her latest album, and then a collection of her greatest hits.
The famous Kuwaiti artist Nabil Sho’ail glowed during his performance, draped in the Kuwaiti flag. Nabil said that being in the presence of his fans gave him great satisfaction, especially when they sang every song along with him. Nabil sang a bouquet of his greatest songs and his fans interacted with him.
Nabil fell during his performance, but continued gracefully. The fans were shocked, fearing their beloved singer was injured, but when he got up on his feet everyone started clapping and cheering him on.
As for the last performer, artist Rashed Al Majed, his fans started going wild and calling his name loudly when he came on stage. The fans sang all of his songs along with him. Rashed said he was overwhelmed that they had memorized his songs by heart. His performance lasted until 3am.
