Circulating rumors claim that young Egyptian actress Mai Izz El Din has been in a state of utter despair over her latest film “Boha” in which she stars alongside Egyptian comedian actor Ahmad Saed and Hassan Husni.
Rumors claim that the promotional ads for the film lack her photograph and her name appears in only small letters, unlike the names of Saed and Lublubah, which are featured prominently.
Mai has denied the rumors, describing them as “nonsense.”
She also stressed that she is not angry with the cast of the film, pointing out that she recently accompanied them to the film’s preview, and held joint interviews.
“I am very grateful to have made the film, because it enhanced my acting career,” Mai explained.
Mai presents a completely different character in the film than that of her previous roles. Instead of a wealthy woman, this time the actress takes on the part of a commoner.
Rami Imam, son of comedian-actor Adel Imam, directed the film, marking his third experience.
