Prominent Lebanese singer Majida Al Roumi has announced that she will postpone the release of her upcoming album, “Alhub wal Wafa” (Love and Loyalty) for the second time, until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The album was scheduled for release at the end of August, however Majida felt it is best to delay the release due to the political situation in the Arab world.

The first delay resulted from alterations Majid decided to make to the songs of the album.

Despite the delayed release, the singer has launched the music video for the feature song “Love and Loyalty.” The clip, directed by Saeed Al Marouq, first aired exclusively on the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC) television satellite station, and then on other music channels.

Majida recently held a concert under the patronage of Algerian President Abdul Aziz Boutiflika in celebration of International Women’s Day, aired by Algerian television. Large crowds of fans, mostly women, gathered at the concert hall two hours beforehand to catch a glimpse of the star.

As Majida entered the stage, she received a standing ovation lasting almost ten minutes as the crowd clapped and cheered for their beloved singer, who kept her head bowed as a sign of respect.

The Algerian President was among the audience to present an award to the singer honoring her achievements and expressing Algeria’s gratitude.
