The famous Lebanese singer Majida Al Roumi has concluded celebrations held in the center of Beirut.
She was joined by several Lebanese artists that held live concerts to celebrate the end of the political crises.
The music groups, maestro and famous singers were all wore white to the big event.
According to the London daily Elaph, Majida wanted to send a message of peace, not just to Lebanon but to all the Middle East.
Majida sang a “Recitation of Peace,” written by the poet Mahmoud Darwish, composed by Jousif Khalifah and distributed by the Maestro Eli Al Alia.
Majida said that she was not singing for a certain political faction, but for all of Beirut. She emphasized love, freedom and peace.
More than 50,000 fans came from various parts of Lebanon. Many held Lebanese flags, some read“Lebanon is Majida and Majida is Lebanon.”
Majida will travel to Fas, Morocco to host a live concert on July 13, and will sing at the “Beit Al Deen” festival on August 9. She will also host concerts in Egypt and Tunisia this summer season.
