Lebanese singer Majida Al Romi announced to her Algerian fans at a press conference that she is preparing a special song. The lyrics are taken from a poem written by Mahmoud Darwish.

According to the London daily Elaph, Majida did not reveal any other details about her new project, except that it will include a letter of love and peace to the Lebanese people.

Majida also promised her Algerian fans to for the fist time sing a song in the Algerian dialect, along with two rising Algerian singers.

Majida’s new album will include the song “Youm Orsik” (Your Wedding Day) that was dedicated to her daughter on her wedding day and another song that she worked on with Tareq Abu Jodeh, their first cooperation.

Majida recently starred in an Algerian film “Awdat Al Ibn Ad Dal” (Return of a lost Son) and revealed that she has received numerous scripts for different film projects. Majida will be travelling to Egypt to review the script for a new film.

With regards to the recent concerts held by Lebanese legends Fairouz and Wadi’ El Safi in Syria, Majida refused to make any public comment regarding the matter and stated that it would not be too farfetched for her to hold a concert there as well. She added that she had received an offer to sing in Syria and is studying the offer very closely before making a final decision.

The singer stated that she does not allow politics to interfere in her career.
Majida encourages young singers because she truly believes there are great talents out there.
