The young Egyptian actress May Iz Al Deen stars as a blind girl in her new film called “Noor Aini” (The Light of My Eye), also starring the Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny.
The new film is written by Ahmad Abed Al Fatah and directed by Wael Ihsan.
On other grounds, May will return to television drama through her starring role in the new series “Qadiyat Safyeh” (Safyeh’s Case). Filming will start in January and according to the director Ahmad Shafeeq the series will be aired next Ramadan season.
The story of the drama series revolves around a village girl, Safyeh, whose father dies and leaves her a large inheritance. A man suddenly appears, claiming that he is her brother and that he should share the inheritance. Safyeh refuses and murders him.
Safyeh is sentence to death, but before she is hanged she discovers that her real brother is still alive.
The new series is written by Ayman Salameh.
