Lebanese singer/actress Maya Nasri is trying hard to divide her time between the recording and filming studios. She is currently filming the scenes for her new television drama series ‘Sultan Al Gharam’ (Sultan of Love) and recording the songs for her upcoming album.

 

Maya stated that she did not want jeopardize one work over the other and will do all she can to make sure both are completed on time.

 

The new drama is scheduled for release during holy month of Ramadan. The album, which is produced by the production company ‘Rotana’ is set to be launched in the upcoming few weeks. The album will feature a variety of songs in the Egyptian, Lebanese, and Gulf dialects.

 

After her debut on the big screen in the film "Code 36", Nasri had celebrated the beginning of filming the scenes for her first television drama "Sultan Al Gharam".

 

The drama marks Maya's first leading role on TV. She will costar alongside Egyptian actors Khaled Saleh, Lucy, Tarek Lutfi and new comer Sandy. The series is written by Mohammad Ashraf and directed by Shireen Al Adel, who had previously directed the television dramas "Sarah" and Agent 1001".

 

The story of the drama revolves around a poor man, named Sultan, who dreams of becoming rich and begins his journey from rags to riches.

 

Throughout the series of events, he meets Maya, a business women suffering from an over possessive husband. Maya eventually leaves her husband and marries Sultan after he had become a successful business man.
