For the first time throughout his singing career Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo will hold a duet with Kuwaiti singer Abdul Karim Abdul Kader in Kuwait after he completes his closing concert at the Hello February Festival, being the only Saudi singer to participate.

According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, news of the duet and the occasion in which it will occur in is kept under the led until further notice. No specific detail were given regarding the event in which the two will hold their performance.

The Hello February Festival organizers Mohammad Al Masri and Mahmoud Al Doughari have signed a contract with the Saudi singer worth 130 thousand US dollars to hold the closing concert for the festival on February 27, 2003. The amount also includes the wages for the orchestra that will be accompanying the singer.

On a different note, Prominent Lebanese singer Wadie’ Al Safi will present a number of his compositions to Mohammad Abdo in a joint cooperation between the two.

Mohammad surprised everyone earlier last year announcing his separation from his wife, Umm Noura, after a 20-year marriage.

Several Saudi daily newspapers reported that the singer separated from his wife after unbearable fights the two were having over the past several years. After friends and relatives failed to reconcile the two, Abdo divorced his wife and married a young girl, whose name has not been revealed. -Albawaba.com
