Mohammad Abdo going “Places” with Rotana

Prominent Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo is shuttling between Cairo and Jeddah to place the final touches on his first album “Al Amakin” (Places) under the production of Rotana. The album is scheduled to hit record stores around the Arab world mid-summer.

 

Abdo has worked with some of the top composers for his new album, and is hoping that it will meet the satisfaction of his fans.

 

Abdo has attempted to gauge the opinions of his fans in regard to the songs he will include in his album. He has given them tastes of his new music on his personal website and at recent concerts. The singer feels the opinions of his fans is an essential factor to his success, and is certainly out to please them.

Sources have revealed that some of the songs that were intentionally leaked will be the highlight of his upcoming album.


Abdo, also referred to as the Arab Artist, announced that he refuses to sign a contract for exclusivity with any production company. The singer stressed that he did not sign a contract with Rotana granting them the exclusive rights to his music. The contract that he has with them states he will produce a set number of albums on preset dates, and the contract ends once these projects are completed.
