Prominent Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo, also known as Singer of the Arab world, has finally joined the music production company Rotana making their dream a reality. The company has for the longest time been trying to recruit Mohammad, whom they believe is a major asset to them that will bring them enormous financial profits and success.
Rotana has been holding negotiations with Abdo since last February during the Hello February Music Festival in Kuwait, when Salem Al Hindi General Manager of the company presented the singer with a very attractive offer and expressed the company’s wishes to have him part of their team.
The contract includes the condition that Rotana has the copyright of Abdo’s upcoming albums in addition to shooting five songs in the form of a video clip, to be the first time the singer films any of his songs. The singer had at first refused the idea of the video clip stressing that it is not his style to film his songs and prefers to have his appearance be through filmed live concerts.
The last album the singer released was “Muthhila” (Amazing), which witnessed enormous success throughout the Arab world. –Albawaba.com
