After a family vacation in Aswan, prominent Egyptian singer Mohammad Muneer returned to Cairo to resume recording the songs for his upcoming album. The singer has completed recording five songs so far, all distributed by music distributor Osama Al Hindi.

Muneer has once again chosen to work with producer Tareq Al Kashef for his new album, which will also contain old songs but remixed.

According to the London based Elaph, Muneer had held a concert on New Year's Eve and refused to back out from it despite the fact that his brother had passed away only three days before. The singer refused to cancel the  performance and let his fans and audience down, who reached 25 thousands at the concert.

Muneer said that he postponed his sorrow over his brother until he reached his hometown Nobia.

Muneer appeared in the film “Ma Feesh Ghair Kidda” (Nothing Except This) starring Egyptian actors Nabila Obeid and Khaled Abu Al Naja. In the film Muneer performed a number of songs and acted as a guest star.

Muneer will also appear in the film “Youm Ma” (Some Day), starring Lublubah.

Ibrahim Al Aqbawi, head of production company ‘Voice of Cairo for Audio and Visual’ is negotiating with Muneer for the leading role in yet another new film.

The company offered Muneeer to sing a collection of songs for the movie soundtrack that will be released in an album and distributed by the company.

Al Aqbawi stated that Muneer would be involved at all levels of production, including the screenplay and deciding upon the remaining cast and direction.

The singer is reviewing the offer and will not make a final decision until he has been informed of the film’s budget.
