Young Egyptian actor Muna Zaki has turned down a lucrative offer by a well known Arabic satellite channel for Muna and her daughter Lilly to appear in a Ramadan television program.

Muna was surprised when the Kuwaiti channel put a blank check in front of Muna and her husband Ahmad Hilmi to choose the amount required for Muna and Lilly to appear in a Ramadan children’s program.

Muna regretfully declined, stating, “I want my daughter to be away from the spotlight where she can live a normal childhood.”

Muna clarified that she will not participate in the children’s program “Man Sayarbah El Bonon” (Who will win the candy) aired on ART satellite channel, since she is working on other projects.  She denies refusing the offer due to a connection between the program and her husband.

Muna’s new film “Timor Wa Shaqikoh” (Timor and his Brother) is being shot on location in a number of European and African countries. Ahmad Al Saqa co-stars in the film written by Tamer Habib and produced by Khalid Mar’i.  ‘Al Masa Production Company’ also produced Muna and Ahmad’s last film “An El Eshiq Wal Hawa.” Released last summer the film grossed 12 million Egyptian Pounds.
