Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar has headed off to Turkey to film the outdoor scenes for his upcoming television drama, “Ali Ya Waika” with director Mohammad Al Najjar. Egyptian actress Dalia Al Buhairi costars alongside Mustafa in the drama.
Mustafa will also film two music videos to be included in the drama, according to the London based weekly, Laha.
The drama, written by Mustafa Muhram, revolves around a young man’s journey to success in the business world. The drama was initially scheduled for completion in time for Ramadan, but faced delays in production.
Mustafa was shocked by circulating rumors that a heated dispute had erupted between he and his wife over his film “Hareem Kareem” (Kareem’s women), and his wife’s jealousy over female admirers.
Since the start of his career he has faced disparaging rumors, but never cared to respond, explained Mustafa. However, when the rumors interfered with his personal and married life, he could not just ignore them.
On a different note, Mustafa has recently recovered from vocal cord surgery. The operation was a success and will not interfere with his ability to sing.
