The Egyptian actor Mustafa Sha’ban survived a deadly accident when his car turned over number of times while filming “Al Watar” (The Cord).
The scene was supposed to include a car over-turning on a desert road in Egypt, yet the car went out of control and was completely damaged. Sha’ban was immediately rescued and sustained minor cuts.
“Al Watar” was written, produced and directed by Majdi Al Hiwari and the scenario and narrations were written by Muhammad Nader.
The story of the film is about a violinist played by Egyptian actress Ghada Adel. She gets involved in a murder case of a music distributor played by Hanni Hussein, the star of the music talent show “Star Academy.”
Sha’ban plays the role of a police lieutenant trying to uncover the mysteries of the murder case.
