Najwa Karam denies filing lawsuit against her brother

Lebanese singer Najwa Karam denied all rumors circulating regarding the lawsuit she filed against her brother Nicola. Najwa said that these rumors hold no ground and they are a sick attempt by people to hurt and interfere with her personal life and career.

Najwa added to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, that she does not give these rumors or all others any second thought let alone allow them to interfere with her life and career. Her goal is to always improve her self giving the best she has to offer.

Rumors said that Najwa had filed a lawsuit against her brother for an incident which happened two years ago when the singer held a concert at one of the hotels in Lebanon and did not receive her wages. Her brother had cheated her out of the money and told her the hotel refused to give them money because she did not abide by the conditions in the agreement.

On a different note, Najwa revealed to the daily that she is currently working on a duet "Ikbirna" (We Grew Older) with prominent Lebanese singer Wadi' El Safi, and is also working on a new song which she will release on Valentine Day to lovers everywhere. Najwa expressed that it was always a dream for her to watch El Safi sing saying that the chance to work with him is more than a dream come true and a great honor for her. She added that throughout the past six months of rehearsals and working sessions with El Safi, she could not get over the feeling of great satisfaction as she stood by his side learning more and more from him. –Albawaba.com
