The Lebanese artist Najwa Karam is upset with some of her colleagues in the music business.
According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, Najwa was shocked when the Syrian artist Asala’s decided to leave the leading Arab production company ‘Rotana’.
Najwa said that she attended many sessions with Asala and that she alked about the importance of being part of a major production company like ‘Rotana.’ Najwa believes that Asala’s decision to leave ‘Rotana’ is a loss for both parties.
Najwa said that the decision by many famous artists to leave ‘Rotana’ does not reflect negatively on the company, because every artist has his or her own situation.
Najwa decided to stay with ‘Rotana’ and to renew her contract without adding any new conditions.
On other grounds, the relationship between Najwa and the famous Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury is still tense after Wael did not show up for a meeting that Najwa arranged for him with the president of ‘Rotana’ Mr. Salem Al Hindi.
Najwa said that Kfoury did not have a good excuse for his absence, and that she only made the appointment for Kfoury’s advantage.
Lebanese artist Elissa was able to reunite Kfoury and Al Hindi at her birthday party.
