Nawal El Zoughbi celebrates the New Year in Beirut
Lebanese singer Nawal El Zoughbi announced that she will be holding two New Year Eve's concerts in Beirut. Last year's Star Academy winner, Joseph Attieh, and impersonator, Bassem Farghali will both be performing with Nawal at both concerts.
According to the London based Elaph, Nawal had given a special sneak preview to her fan club on her official website of her latest music video for the song "Adi" (Normal) from her latest album “Yama Kalo” (They Kept Saying). The song “Adi” (Normal) is sung in the Gulf dialect and the clip is directed by Randa Alam, marking their third cooperation together.
Nawal denied that she is facing problems with production company ‘Alam El Phan’ and owner Muhsin Jaber. Nawal said Muhsin has complete trust in her and does not interfere with her choice of music or style.
Nawal has also denied rumors that she is depressed over the timing of the release of the album during the war between Israel and Lebanon. Instead, Nawal attributes her dismay to the destruction of her country and the suffering of the Lebanese people.
Sources claim during the war Nawal pleaded with Muhsin to postpone the release of the album, but to no avail.
