The show is due to be aired on Egyptian television stations for a time period of 18 months.

According to the London based Elaph, the director has previously chosen Nicole Bradwail to host the show, but the management of the stations objected saying that they refuse to have a Lebanese TV announcers invade their Egyptian airwaves. They insisted that the choice should fall on someone from their own country.

Shaheen competed in Miss Egypt Universe 2001, which is a contest where the winner represents Egypt at the International Miss Universe beauty pageant, and she was the 1st Runner-up.
