The business manager of Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher has revealed that the singer will definitely be taking part in the Carthage festival in Tunisia, after several rumors stated otherwise. It was added that Kathem will surprise the audience by singing a collection of songs from his upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released in the very near future.

According to the london based Elaph, Kathem is to perform a song specially written for the people of Tunisia showing his appreciation for his fans. The singer’s new album will hold the title “Hal Indak Shak” (Do You Have A Doubt), and is in its final stages of preparation.

Over the years, El Saher has become one of the hottest topics in the entertainment world, for reasons like being away from his home country for over a decade. For the first time since relations between Iraq and Kuwait took a downturn, Kathem held a personal interview with a Kuwaiti daily newspaper in an attempt to show the world that he holds no grudges.

In the interview the singer talked freely and openly saying that despite the conditions that had clouded the region, his personal opinion of Kuwait and its people is the same he holds for Iraq and its people. He stressed that the minute he receives an invitation from any Kuwaiti sponsor, he will immediately arrive to the scene.

Kathem added that even though he had not performed in Kuwait, Kuwaiti citizens had always made it a point to show up at his concerts whether they where in a neighboring Arab country or in the West. Kathem made it clear that the dirty politics is the main reason why relations between the two countries worsened.

With regards to Kuwaiti singers, Kathem revealed that his personal favorite is Nawal, stressing his admiration of her romantic style in singing and adding that he had always made it a point to show his appreciation to her music when he runs into her by chance. The singer noted that he is always willing to hold a duet with any Kuwaiti singer to clarify that he has always been at peace with them and they are no different than his brothers in Iraq. –Albawaba.com
