The fourth session of the Modern Dance Festival will be opened Wednesday evening in Cairo by the show entitled The Road by the Norwegian troupe Angi Biorn Sgard. The show will continue until Thursday evening at the Opera House, according to the daily al Gomhuria.
Four Scandinavian troupes from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark will participate in this year’s festival in addition to four Egyptian troupes. These include Opera House’s Modern Stage Dance Troupe, al Talia’h Theater’s Art House Troupe, Karim al Tunisi and Karima Mansour Troupes.
Six dancers will participate in the show Road in which they express the social and sexual relations in a blatant and liberal manner. The scenes take the viewers to love, sensual desires and enjoyment by using an aware art style through a panoramic show of the Baron era music.
The show has been designed and directed by Angi Biorn Sgard who established the troupe 10 years ago and named it with her name. She managed to create an important status for herself in dancing design in her country. She has also secured an international appreciation through adopting many art conceptions. Her style in dancing design is characterized with variance between drama and dance elements -- Albawaba.com
