Lebanese singer Pascal Mashalaani has announced that she will renew her cooperation with director Basem Maghniah in the new clip “Lama Shuftak” (When I saw you), which is featured in her latest album “Akhth Aqli” (Took my mind). Pascal made her announcement from Tunisia, where she is currently.
According to the London based Elaph, the singer stated that she was very impressed with the way Basem had presented her in her previous music video for the song “Am Yemdi Al Waqt” (Time is passing by). She noted that the story that was portrayed in the clip is an actual representation of events that are happening with her in real life.
Pascal said that she is suffering from a twisted and obsessed fan in real life, who keeps sending her strange letters written in blood and has gone as far as sending her cut-off heads of birds.
The singer stated that she is the type of person who appreciates and respects her fans, but any admiration by a fan should not exceed the limits of normality and respect and turn into a life threatening situation.
Basem had presented that idea of an obsessed fan to Pascal for her previous clip without having any idea that she is suffering from such a person in real life. The only difference she made in the clip with regards to the story was not having her love die at the end but rather live on and give hope.
Pascal revealed that her cooperation with Basem does not mean she has ended all cooperation with her good friend director Mirna Khayat.
Pascal is currently in Tunisia where she held a grand performance with Lebanese singer Wael Jasar and turnisan singer Alfah Bin Ramadan in celebration of Valentine’s Day. With regards to her upcoming projects, Pascal noted that she will be recording a new solo in the near future sung in the Gulf dialect as well as singing a duet with a prominent Lebanese male singer.
Pascal did not reveal the name of the singer and stated it will be the surprise of the year.
