Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama has threatened to leave his production company Alam El Phan after they have been continuously delaying the release of his upcoming album. Disputes erupted between Ragheb and the owner of the company, Muhsin Jaber, after the later postponed the release more than three times and the situation reached a dead-end.
The singer had placed the final touches on his upcoming album and finalized it over two months ago in the hope that it will be launched in the beginning of the summer season. Ragheb had repeatedly tried to pressure Muhsin in releasing the album, but the latter kept delaying the matter making the singer go into an outrage.
Ragheb announced that this album will be the last he will produce with Alam El Phan, and that he will not renew his three-year contract, which is about to end.
Alama’s album "Al Hub Al Kabeer" (The Big Love) is said to be the last one Ragheb will release under Alam El Phan, as it is rumored that he is currently holding negotiations with Rotana Production Company for the possibility of joining them.
Ragheb did not make any public announcement regarding the possibility of his shift to Rotana. Alama is currently shooting two songs from his upcoming album, which features 12 songs, in the form of a video clip in complete secrecy refusing to give out any details.
Alama was shocked when he heard of recent circulating rumors that a dispute between him and Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq had broken out over a song. Ragheb is amazed how such a rumor had spread so fast stressing that there is no form of dispute between him and Ehab over any song or anything else.
It was rumored that Ragheb had wanted to include a song in his new album, but was shocked to learn that Ehab had already took it and bought the legal copyright for it. The dispute was said to have been created by composer Mahmoud Balkouneh had supposedly had promised the song to both singers.
Ragheb noted that the truth of the matter is, there is no such song that he is fighting over and that he has already chosen all the songs for his upcoming album long ago. The singer expressed extreme disappointment towards several media agencies who attempt to create problems between him and other singers, saying that such actions are unethical. –Albawaba.com
