Former Egyptian squash player, Ahmed Brada, announced recently that he will be heading to Qatar to perform in a concert with Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoghbi, after a two-year absence from the limelight following his retirement.
According to the London-based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Brada stayed in France for almost two years after his retirement from squash, and there started working on his debut album, whose name has not been revealed yet and said to be released soon after the fasting month of Ramadan.
Being a sport's celebrity for more than 8 years, Brada decided to enter the music world after his retirement from squash, to stay in the limelight. He finished recording his first album and is preparing for the duet with singer Angham.
Angham, whose last year's album "Leih Sibtaha" (Why Did You Leave Her) was a smash hit in the music world, is said to be preparing for the launch of her new album produced by Alam Al Fan.
On another note, singer Nawal Al Zoghbi is still trying hard to shake off accusations that she was trying to imitate the Latin-American pop-icon Shakira in her latest music video "Elli Tmaneitoh" (The One I Wished For).
The singer asked her image consultants to work hard on creating a new look for her. "I'm not the Arab Shakira and would never be. I don't see that my look in 'Elli Tmaneitoh' is like Shakira's, but I promise that I'd appear in a new and different look in my upcoming music video," said Zoghbi. – Albawaba.com
