Ruwaida Attieh guest of honor at the Seventh Arabic Song Festival

Rising Syrian singer Ruwaida Attieh, who started her career on the popular program Arab Superstar, is on her way to Morocca, where she will be held guest of honor at the Seventh Arabic Song Festival. Ruwaida will sing one of her popular hits along with a new song that is written especially for the event.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, the singer recently called off her tour around the United States of America and Canada due to the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafiq Al Hariri. Ruwaida stressed that she could not find it in her heart to hold any performances at the time especially due to the fact that her popularity had kicked off on the Lebanese satellite television channel Future, which is owned by Hariri.
Previously Ruwaida had announced that she will enter the acting world in the Lebanese film “Al Bosta” alongside prominent Lebanese singer Sabah, who will make a guest appearance in the film. Ruwaida will appear in two scenes in addition to singing two songs.
Ruwaida is currently in the process of preparing for her second music video for the song “Maktoobli” (My Destiny). The new video clip [Maktoob li] will show Ruwaida in seven scenes and seven different looks. The song is from her upcoming album, which is the second one Ruwaida releases. The album features ten songs and the singer revealed that she has worked with a number of prominent poets and composers in order to make it a bigger success than her first.
