Tunisian singer Saber Riba’ee, also known as the Prince of Arabic Music, celebrated the release of his latest album “Al Ghurba” at one of the fancy hotels in Tunisia in the presence of a large crowd of journalists and VIPs.
The album marks Saber’s third with the production company Rotana. The singer appeared to be overwhelmed with joy and thanked everyone present at the celebration.
According to the London based Elaph, Saber stated that he rushed the release of his album due to the fact that his summer schedule is very packed. He revealed that he has scheduled performances in Syria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.
With regards to the absence of a music video with the release of the album, Saber noted that he will be filming a new clip in the near future.
Saber revealed for the first time in his singing career he has chosen a romantic song sung the Tunisian dialect as the title of the album “Ghurba”, which is also the main song in the album. He added that he wanted this particular song to be the title of the album because he expects it to achieve significant success.
What had shocked many people during the signing ceremony was the absence of Tunisian singers, which is the opposite of what Tunisian singer Latifa did during her album signing ceremony. Saber stated that it did not occur to him to invite stars from Tunisia, but in the future he will make a note of this and invite them to other occasions.
Saber said that he hopes the album will meet the satisfaction of people everywhere.
With regards to his upcoming tours, he stated that he is scheduled to hold other signing ceremonies in Dubai and Egypt. In addition he will take part in a number of festivals in Morocco, Syria, Egypt, and the south of Tunisia.
