It seems that Ramadan is the best month for resigned actresses to return to the spotlight, since they are able to present works that deal with religious issues. Resigned Egyptian actress Sabrine will mark her return after a five-year absence, but on radio and not television.

The resigned actress is taking part in the radio drama series “Ana Lik Ala Toul” (I’m Yours Always,) which is airing on the Egyptian radio network and will be broadcasted throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The drama Sabrine is taking part in is directed by An’am Mohammad Ali, the same director that the actress worked with in her last drama before her resignation “Umm Kalthoum.”

Recently Sabrine made her first public appearance since her resignation on Egyptian television. The actress was guest of honor on the popular show “Al Bait Baitak” during its special dedication to the thirty-year anniversary of the death of Egypt’s legendary singer Umm Kalthoum.

Sabrine was invited to appear on the show after the success of the drama she starred in portraying the life of Umm Kalthoum. The television drama was the highlight of Sabrine’s acting career, bringing her tremendous success and making her known throughout the Arab world.

The actress had played the role of Umm Kalthoum to perfection astonishing everyone who watched the drama. The singer had announced her resignation right after she completed the drama and had refused to appear in any public occasion.
