The artist Shams released a new solo single called “Waysh Sayer” (What’s Happening) and had also filmed the new song into a video clip. The song is written by Ibrahim Swidan, composed by Hasan Abdullah and distributed by Midhat Khamis, Hani Farhat and Muhammad Diya. The new song is considered to be a new step in Shams’s style of music. The song is also a new experience in the Arab world, because it combines between Khaliji “Gulf countries” dialect and rap music.

According to the London daily Elaph, it is needless to say that Shams had recorded the song five years ago but she waited till now to have it released. The filming for the new solo single was filmed in Beirut and lasted for two days with the Lebanese director Oliver Ajeel. A red camera was used to film Shams’s new clip and this would be the first time such a camera is used to film an Arabic video clip.

The clip for the song “Waysh Sayer” was produced by the production company “Yellow Color”. On the other hand, Shams had joined the company “Music Is My Life” to manage all her art business. Shams is staying to Beirut to follow up on all the preparations for her new album. In the new album Shams sings five songs for the poet Naser Al Saleh and a Lebanese song for the poet Wisam Al Amir.
