Prominent Egyptian actress Sharihan is preparing to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the Islamic religious pilgrimage Umra for the seventh time since the start of her journey with cancer. Sharihan’s family along with the medical team supervising her condition will accompany her to the pilgrimage.

Upon her return from Umra, Sharihan will head to retreat at one of the tourist villages to relax. Medical reports from her doctors in Paris have assured that the actress has regained most of her health after a long journey of fighting to survive cancer. The actress is now able to walk longer distances and her speech has returned to normal, after using writing as her only means of communication with those around her.

Sharihan has returned to Egypt after the medical team in Paris decided that she is experiencing a stable condition and does not need to stay in France anymore. The French doctors said that she can continue her medication without any difficulties in Egypt.

The actress clearly expressed that she refuses to undergo any form of interviews whether for television, radio, or any other form for the media. Sharihan has also refrained from communication with too many people limiting her self to very close friends and family members. The actress revealed that at this point in her life she prefers not to interact with too many people but rather spend her time with her husband and daughter and connecting with God.

Production companies as soon as they heard about Sharihan's return began working on projects to see which one suits her most and decide what to take when she wants to go back to acting. Meanwhile the Egyptian actress is still isolating herself and refusing any TV interview of even telephone interviews.

Sharihan refuses to see any visitors and the people who are allowed to see her are a few group of people. In addition to her husband Ala' Khawaja and her daughter Loulwa, and of course her sister, only her private secretary Jamal Anwar and her lawyer Dr. Sameer Sabri are allowed to see her in person.

Doctors who were supervising the actress’s condition, assured her that her body is free of any cancerous tumors and that she may return to her normal life. The head of Sharihan’s medical team announced that she is on the verge of completing her treatment and that only a few months are left, just to be on the safe side. The actress is spending her time relaxing and taking care of her only daughter and husband.

Sharihan denied rumors of her resignation from the acting world, saying she would never think of ending her career, adding that she still has some time to think about what kind of work she will make her debut in after being away for so long. –Albawaba.com
