The Egyptian actress Shireen is currently shooting the comedy series Yawm bi Yawm (Day by Day) along with Wael Noor, Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, Hassan Hossni and a number of other stars. The episodes are about a couple that faces a new problem every day.
Shireen told the UAE daily Al Bayan that “this series is the second part of the smash hit TV series Hikayat Gharibah (Strange Stories), which was aired this year.”
“I perform a different character in each episode, including the character of a working wife who leaves her house, neglects her husband and buries herself in work problems,” the actress continued. “I also perform the role of the housewife, who is very jealous and questions her husband about every minute and big matter.”
“I play more than 15 characters in this series, including a wife from Upper Egypt who gives birth to many children, a nomad’s wife, a school headmistress, a businesswoman, a costume designer, an engineer, a doctor, and other jobs,” she added.
“The comedy series sheds light on the positive and negative aspects of married life, and calls on everyone to maintain the holy marriage bond in the face of life’s troubles,” said Shireen.
“The series will take 60 days of continous shooting,” she further said. “Some scenes that do not involve the actor Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, who is busy shooting his series Al Koomi, are being shot now…Abdel Aleem will finish the shooting of his role by the end of this month, and will join me in an artistic comedy duo that will be acclaimed by all.” – Albawaba.com
