Prominent actress Shireen Seif Al Nasr is known to be a very optimistic person, who accepts what life hands her and tries to make the best of it. This Ramadan (Muslim month of fasting), a number of rumors circulated around Shireen, which she tried her best to overcome and not give them any importance.
According to the London based daily, Al Hayat, The first rumors that circulated were about an upcoming music video clip with the famous Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher. Shireen stressed that the news was untrue and that she never received any offer from Kathem in the first place, adding that she would have been ecstatic to get such a an opportunity.
Among other rumors were that she refused to lend her x-husband prominent singer Midhat Saleh half a million EGP to pay back his debits to the prominent belly dancer and actress Fifi Abdo, and for that she ended up getting a divorce. Another rumor was that Shireen was pregnant before the divorce, a matter that she denied saying that these rumors are made up by tabloids who cannot find something else to write. Shireen stressed that the media should make sure the information it published is true before they release it to the public.
Shireen had recently traveled to Paris-France where she met a famous French fashion designer for the creation of two new wedding gowns. It was also revealed that Shireen wore two different wedding dresses, as is her own special tradition. Like in her previous marriage, the actress wore the first wedding dress for the first half of the wedding party and then change into the second one in the final half.
Shireen had announced her engagement to a successful businessman a couple of months ago and had at the time refused to give any details. The couple had celebrated their engagement amongst family members and had at the time decided not to make a big bash. It was revealed that the husband to be, is a close family friend, who Shireen knew from a long while back.
Last June, the Shireen and Midhat had surprised everyone with their unexpected marriage. The wedding, held in a five star hotel in Cairo, took place in complete secrecy, as the party was limited to the couple's family and relatives. The marriage marked the fifth for actor-singer Midhat Saleh and the second for Saif al Naser.
After rumors started surfacing about Shireen’s pregnancy from Midhat Saleh just four months into their marriage, the couple quickly announced their divorce as per Saif Al Nasr's wish. At the time Shireen remarked that, "Midhat is a great man, and we shared many happy moments, but it's all fate and our four-month marriage must come to an end,” refusing to uncover the reason behind the divorce and denying rumors about her pregnancy.
For his part, Midhat Saleh expressed his respect to Saif Al Nasr, saying that they are still friends and hold no hard feelings towards one another. "We even might work together in director Magdi Ahmed's upcoming movie 'Yawmiyat Mudares Banat' (Memoirs of Female SchoolTeacher)," Midhat said.
Shireen has refused a very tempting offer she had received by one of the Arab satellite channels to be a talk show host. The actress turned down the offer despite the large and generous wage that was set. –Albawaba.com
