Shireen seeks vengeance in London
Egyptian singer Shireen is preparing to travel to England where she is scheduled to shoot some of the scenes for the new film "Intiqam Ala Tarikati" (Revenge My Way) in London. The film will mark Shireen's second acting experience the first being in the film "Mido Mashakil" (Mido Trouble).
According to the London based Elaph, Shireen will be costarring alongside some of the most prominent Egyptian actors like Nour El Sherif, Hussein Fahmi, Majida Zaki, Hisham Salim, and Ghada Abdul Riziq. The singer had very recently completed shooting her latest music video for the song "Ana La Jaia Aqulak" (I'm Not Coming To Tell You) in Lebanon. The song is currently aired on the new music channel Melody.
The releases of new music albums means the emergence of a new look and style for male and female singers. This summer singers from around the Arab world have succeeded in surprising their fans with their new appearance, some finding acceptance while others have been rejected.
Shireen, who has managed to make a name for herself in the music world and find appreciation from listeners, has decided to present herself with a new look to go with her new album. The singer felt that she needed a bit of spicing up if she wanted to compete with other singers, and so took advantage of her trip to Lebanon and had a complete makeover.
Shireen had consulted a Lebanese makeup and hair expert, and had him change the way she looks making her appear more romantic and alive. It was revealed that Shireen headed to Lebanon to hold concerts for the first time throughout her music career. Shireen has decided to hold concerts in Beirut in order to introduce herself to her Lebanese audience and to increase her popularity.
The singer held a special performance alongside Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker on August 23, 2003. The two singers held their concert live on the beach in Beirut, sponsored by "The Voice of Tomorrow", and their concert proved a huge success due to the fact that both have reached a point where their popularity is expanding at a fast rate.
Earlier this year, a radio broadcaster for a Tunisian station had asked Shireen to hold a live interview with him, where listeners may call in and ask the singer direct questions. When the broadcaster called the singer and made his proposal, Shireen wholeheartedly accepted and promised to be home on the set date in order to hold the interview over the phone.
The minute the broadcaster called the singer on the given date of the interview she denied knowing him and hung up the phone in his face telling him it’s the wrong number. At this point the man was in shock for he was sure it was Shireen's voice that answered the phone, in addition to his making sure he was dialing the right number. After numerous attempts, the broadcaster gave up and apologized to all his listeners and told them the actual scenario of what had happened with him and how the singer expressed a rude and immature attitude towards him. He added that she should have been more professional and apologized for not wanting to hold the interview instead of merely saying "sorry you have the number". -Albawaba.com
