Egyptian singer Shireen Wajdi has stopped recording songs for her upcoming album since she is engaged in holding a number of concerts in Egypt and around the Arab world.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Shireen has been offered the leading role in a new film, but has yet to give her final decision.
Previously Shireen announced that she did not intend on entering the acting world unless she is offered a very attractive role.
The singer stated that she has acting experience, but she is concentrating on her singing career and does not want to invest her efforts elsewhere.
Recently Shireen held a live performance at the inauguration of the Arab Summit in Algeria, for which presidents and ministers from around the Arab world were in attendance. The event took place at Ibn Khaldoon Hall, which seats three thousand.
The concert was Shireen’s first performance for high political figures, and she sang a collection of songs from her latest album and a number of her most popular hits.
