The Internet has been abuzz with American musical group "The Piano Guys"'s new wonder-ful music video, which the quartet - consisting of Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson, and Al van der Beek - shot in the ancient city of Petra, Jordan.
Having set off on a journey to shoot a music video at each of the Seven Wonders of the World, it was time to create music magic at the stoic “Rose City.”
“Three years ago we embarked on an insane archaeological quest: To conquer all Seven Wonders of the World,” the group writes. “With music.”
The 2000-year-old rock-carved city made a breathtaking backdrop for their Arabian-themed video. The music itself gave us chills as they perfectly played selections from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s classical piece “Scheherazade” along with John Williams’ famous "Indiana Jones" theme tune.
The Piano Guys picked this particular Hollywood tune because the iconic blockbuster was shot in none other than Petra.
One part of the video was shot in a folkloric fish market. For real.
The single, officially entitled “Indian Jones and the Arabian Nights,” is available on The Piano Guys’ new CD, “Uncharted.” Released last week, you can learn more about the album here.
