Superstar 2 selects talents from France
The crew of the most popular show "Superstar 2" returned to the Middle East after launching the show from Paris-France, choosing finalists from the Arab population living there, choosing thirteen individuals, who posses the talent to sing, to take part in the finals.
According to the London based, Elaph, the next stop for the crew of the show is Dubai, followed by different destinations around the Arab world. A news conference was held last month in Beirut to announce the launch of the number one talent show in the Arab World. The second part comes after the great success the first achieved becoming the most viewed show throughout the Arab world. During the press conference at Monroe Hotel, organizers of the program will talk about the trips they go on soon to begin the competition among the Arab communities.
It was noted that the former Miss Lebanon Nichole Bardawil will not be part of the judges but will have another role in the program. Organizers of the show have made a decision to exclude Lebanese Tonya Mir’ib from the judging panel for the upcoming season of “Superstar 2” due to her bias opinions regarding the final episodes that resulted in Jordanian singer Diana Karazone winning the title. Tonya had expressed angry feelings when Lebanese singer Milhim Zein was eliminated and insisted that some form of fraud existed to reach the final decision.
The committee has decided to replace Tonya with another Lebanese woman who is an expert in fashion and outer appearance. It was revealed that some members of the show have demanded that Tonya remain on the judging panel and that the decision to remove her is not democratic insisting that everyone is entitled to have their own opinion on whom they believe should win the title of Arab Superstar.
The show’s second screening will take place during the first part of the upcoming year, but until that time, the judging committee will travel across the Arab world to begin the contest and eliminate those not fit to be superstars and nominate those who have the talent to sing in order to have them compete against one another and have viewers vote for the one they like most.
The first of Superstar was one by Jordanian singer Diana Karazone who is now busy with making her first album that is due to be out by the end of this month. The final episode of the show was a heated competition between Diana and her Syrian counterpart Ruwaida Attia who is now seen holding a number of performances between Syria and Lebanon. –Albawaba.com
