The Egyptian interpreting dancer Karima Mansour will perform Monday two shows at al Gohuria Theater within the framework of the Modern Theatrical Dancing Festival currently held in Cairo, according to the daily al Ahram.
The event which kicked off on May 5, will continue till the end of this month with the participation of four Scandinavian and four Egyptian troupes.
Mansour’s first performance entitled Solo reflects the African roots of the Egyptian people and the struggles that take place in the African content.
The dancer’s second performance entitled Mamarrat (Paths) is based on the late Egyptian diva Umm Kulthoum’s song al Atlal. Earlier, the show participated in the Modern Dancing Festival which was held in Paris.
Egypt which hosts the Modern Theatrical Dancing Festival, participates also with the show Taht al Ard (underground) portrayed last week by the Egyptian Opera House modern theatrical dancing troupe -- Albawaba.com
