Lebanese singer Walid Tawfiq is currently negotiating the progect of a new film about the life history of the late Egyptian singer Mohammed Fawzi, with the late singer’s family, according to the London-based daily al Sharq al Awsat.
Tawfiq has started to collect the books and articles which have been written about the prominent singer, as well as the movies he participated in, to gear up for the film in which he is going to play the role of Mohammed Fawzi.
Earlier, Tawfiq discussed the film project with Fawzi’s sister, the renowned actress Huda Sultan who agreed and encouraged him, but she stressed the necessity of his family’s approval, particularly, his son Nabil Fawzi.
The Lebanese singer has participated before in Egyptian musical movies, such as, Man Yutfe’ al Nar (who Puts Out the Fire) along with actress Athar al Hakim – Albawaba.com
