After years of dedication to her music career, Algerian singer Warda announced that she decided to return to the small screen in a new television drama. Egyptian producer Mohammad Ashoub succeeded in convincing Warda to accept the leading role in the drama.
Mohammad had stressed to Warda that at this point in her career it is very essential that she stars in a television drama, especially since her health condition is in some ways becoming fragile.
Warda had given Mohammad her initial acceptance to star in a television drama, and requested that he begins searching for the most appropriate script for her to make her debut in. Warda had asked the producer to make sure that the role is suitable with her current age and does not degrade her in anyway, especially since she is a very well reputed singer.
Warda has returned to Cairo where she will reside on a permanent basis, but will make frequent visits to Algeria. She has sold her apartment in Paris in anticipation of the move.
