With complete honesty, prominent Egyptian actor Yahia Al Fakharani has admitted to the failure of his Ramadan television drama series “Al Marsi Wal Bahar” (The Sailor and his Anchor).Yahia added that the drama was in no way as successful as his previous works.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Yahia revealed that he had intended on postponing the drama until next year until all the episodes were well written, but he was pressured by the producing company to submit the work this year due to the fact that it was already sold to a number of television stations to be aired.
Yahia stressed that from now on he will never agree to take part in any work where he is pressured by time. He added that he will only accept offers that allow for enough time for the script and all the details to be complete.
