Gay Lebanese blogger: "Don't ask don't tell" sounds good to me!

Capitol Hill - the US Senate voted to overturn a policy of 'don't ask don't tell', which banned openly gay service personnel from serving in the military, by 65-31.
Life Without "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
As the policy of “Don”t ask don”t tell” is repealed by the US Senate, one Lebanese blogger asks why the debate in States is “thousands of miles away from what it is here” – where it”s impossible to put “gay and military” in the same sentence.
Humorously, the blogger writes that when he first heard of “don”t ask don”t tell” he thought it sounded like a great law – it suggested privacy, or not asking or judging people based on personal preferences, be they sexual or political. The blogger suggests that the Lebanese can be indiscreet and judgmental… and concludes with the hope that “don”t ask don”t tell” will never get repealed in Lebanon.

Wikileaks And The Silence Of Jordanian Media

Egypt's Drunk Hero
A Serbian man defeats the Shark which has been terrorizing Sharm-El-Sheikh - while drunk. According to 4th Ring Road “Dragan”, who'd decided to go to the beach after a long night of drinking, jumped from a pier down into the sea where he landed on something hard. No one is entirely sure what happened next, but the Serbian seems to have landed on the sharks head… because the next day it washed up dead on the beach.
