Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas
Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has announced that its two Abu Dhabi properties, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas and Hyatt Capital Gate, will open in the second half of 2011. With a wide range of world-class business and leisure facilities, both Hyatt hotels are located just minutes from the city centre and Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Authority has said that it expects to receive 2.7 million visitors by 2012, with Abu Dhabi Corniche, Emirates Heritage Village, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina Circuit featuring prominently as key attractions.
“Abu Dhabi offers travellers year-round sunshine, pristine sandy beaches, world-class meeting facilities and traditional Arabian culture. Hyatt hotels in Abu Dhabi will be welcoming business and leisure guests alike as the two first properties will be opening in the second half of 2011. While Hyatt Capital Gate will be the capital’s ideal premium business address, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas will offer guests a range of leisure activities located on a tranquil island in Abu Dhabi,” said Thierry Bertin, Vice President Worldwide Sales – South West Asia, Hyatt International.
“Both our hotels are situated along the beautiful turquoise waters that surround Abu Dhabi and offer stunning views of the city’s natural coastline. While Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotels and Villas offer an escape from the city, Hyatt Capital Gate is in itself, an escape within the city,” continued Bertin.
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, scheduled to open in Q3 2011, is an exclusive sanctuary of contemporary luxury located on the much-talked about Saadiyat Island. The hotel is the ideal destination for guests searching for serenity and intimacy. Blessed with nine kilometres of environmentally protected coastline, the hotel offers unobstructed views of the waterfront from most of its rooms. Neighbouring the world-famous, Gary Player-designed Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, the hotel is minutes from the city’s prime business and Corniche districts.
The stunning island property reflects Hyatt’s authentic approach to hospitality and is composed of 306 luxuriously appointed rooms, suites and villas. All villas, beach suites and garden suites are equipped with private open air jet pools.
The Saadiyat Island property also offers guests one of Hyatt’s most distinctive concepts – “The Residence,” a multi-functional facility for business and social gatherings making guests feel as if they were in their own home.
Resort activities include a range of non-motorised water activities, four generously sized swimming pools for guests to retreat, as well as the luxurious Atarmia Spa with nine spacious treatment rooms, outdoor private terraces, fitness facilities and a tennis court.
The resort also offers four authentic restaurants and bar options with indoor and al fresco seating. The Café is the hotel’s stylish all-day-dining restaurant serving Arabic specialities complemented by Western comfort food, while The Park Bar & Grill offers Western and Asian meat and seafood preparations served from a theatrical show kitchen. As evenings approach, The Beach House and its strategic rooftop location overlooking the waters of Saadiyat Island provide an ideal venue for a sundowner.
Hyatt Capital Gate, which is set to open in Q4 2011, towers 160 metres above the ground and leans a staggering 18 degrees above Abu Dhabi’s skyline. Part of the iconic new Capital Gate building connected to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), this luxury five-star hotel is set to become a leading business hotel in the region.
Providing a welcome escape from busy city life, Hyatt Capital Gate overlooks Abu Dhabi’s main coastline as well as the Mangroves, Saadiyat Island and downtown Abu Dhabi. The 189-room hotel has been developed specifically for Capital Gate and the unique tower is set to become a world-famous landmark for Abu Dhabi city. The impressive architectural feats that define this project are combined with elegant interior design concepts to create a uniquely refined guest experience.
With almost every room providing panoramic or partial view of the Arabian Gulf, the hotel also provides one of the highest escapes in the city. The Lounge, located 80 metres above the city on the 18th floor, provides eclectic refreshments alongside uninterrupted views of Abu Dhabi’s meandering coastline. Adjacent to the Lounge, 18° is the hotel’s signature restaurant serving speciality dishes from the gastronomic heritage of the Levant region of the eastern Mediterranean (Greece, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon).
Also suspended from the main building above the splash, the 19th floor features the hotel’s private outdoor spa housing the infinity pool, an intimate retreat from the bustling city, where guests enjoy the opportunity to unwind in the whirlpool or swim while admiring Abu Dhabi’s coastal waterways. Alternatively, this suspended blanket of water offers an opportunity of reflection while enjoying a beverage or healthy snack at the outdoor bar.
The Food Emporium is the hotel’s gourmet food market serving breakfast, lunch and evening snacks in a highly interactive environment. Located on the ground floor, it is convenient for a take-away coffee, freshly-baked croissant for breakfast, casual business lunch or a social gathering in the late afternoon or early evening. Additionally, Privé is a sleek contemporary bar lounge that is ideal for a casual meeting or to unwind after work with friends or business associates.
Hyatt Capital Gate will be a significant part of the new proposed centre of the economic engine of Abu Dhabi. With Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) adjoining the hotel, business guests will have immediate access to the largest conference and exhibition venue in the Middle East (over 55,000 square metres).
