Jordan - a place of "apostasy?"

The Islamic-Action front no longer have a place in the Jordanian Parliament.
Islamic Action Front Accuses Jordan of Apostasy
Black Iris writes of how the Islamic Action Front have released a ‘religious edict’ or ‘fatwa’ accusing the Jordanian government of apostasy. The fatwa is based on the fact that Jordanian troops help UN and American troops in Afghanistan according to a Jordan Times translation, and in so doing are "supporting non-Muslims in their aggression against another Muslim country".
Black Iris asks why the IAF has issued the edict now – why not a year ago when Sharif Ali bin Zaid, a Jordanian suicide bomber, exposed Jordanian cooperation with the CIA? The blogger suggests that the reason is to distract attention away from internal power-struggles, or the lack of any presence in Parliament while at the same time energizing the IAF's base.
