Despite violent clashes
in Egypt’s
famous Tahrir Square in the heart of Cairo between demonstrators and
Egyptian police, Egyptian singer Tamer Husni insisted
on celebrating the release of his latest album “Elly Jay Ahla” (What’s to come
is better) at a hotel only a hundred meters
from the site of
the protests.
The ceremony
was attended
by album producer Muhsin Jaber, as well as a number of artists
that were keen
to be preset and
congratulate Tamer. Among the artists that attended was actress Mai Izz Al-Din, who stars in Tamer’s
upcoming television series ‘Adam’, actors Ahmad Zaher, Majdi Al Masri and
Jordanian producer Mohammad Al Majali.

on stage
amidst
fireworks, and sang a collection
of songs
from the new album. A dance group accompanied Tamer on
stage, which Tamer usually is present in most of his performances.
The album
features 14 songs in
which he composed some of its songs and had collaborated with poet Baha Al Deen
Muhammad, Amir
Toaima, Mohammed Rahim, Karim Mohsen.
Tamer
is currently in
the process of completing the filming of his new series “Adam,” directed
by Mohammad
Sami,
and co-starring
Dina Fouad, Ahmad Zaher and Mai Izz.
