Bahraini organization says Iran participates in suppression of Syrian intifada
The Assembly of the Islamic Tradition, a body which represents the Salafist movement in Bahrain has warned of the serious developments taking place in the Arab world in recent days, especially in Syria. It said that there are reports about the arrival of the Iranian forces to Syria in order to fight the uprising of the Syrian people.
The Assembly called on the Arab League to urgently provide the necessary protection to the defenseless Syrian people in the face of a tripartite alliance: the security system of the Assad regime, the Iranian regime and Hizbullah.
The statement by the Assembly confirms other recent reports about the entry of members from the Revolutionary Guard and Hizbullah for the suppression of the Syrian uprising as quickly as possible. These elements use of harsher methods of killing and torture compared to the gangs of the regime, according to the statement.
It added that the Iranian regime used its relations with Assad regime to spread the Shia in Syria. It said hundreds of thousands of Iranians were allowed by the Syrian regime to own and purchase real estate properties especially in the neighborhoods of Old Damascus. Iranian delegations have been active in the dissemination of the Iranian cultural character of in the neighborhoods and once belonged to Sunnis, such as Zeinab and the Umayyad Mosque.
