The workshop was attended by senior managers from the planning and client servicing departments of MENACOM Jordan's agencies
MENACOM Jordan, the Kingdom’s leading communications group, recently organized a training workshop delivered by author and strategy specialist Simon Silvester, the EVP of Planning for Y&R Brands in the EMEA region. The “Creative Strategy Course”, one of Silvester’s trademark workshops, was organized with the objective of fostering new creative thinking principles during strategic development amongst the client servicing and planning teams of MENACOM’s agencies, and was held on the 6th and 7th of April at Al Qasr Hotel in Amman.
The workshop was attended by senior managers from the planning and client servicing departments of MENACOM Jordan's agencies, which include Wunderman, Team Young & Rubicam and Intermarkets, in addition to a number of strategic planners from MENACOM Group's offices in the MENA region. The workshop tackled creative thinking mechanisms that lead to unique, far-reaching strategies, the introduction of new strategic philosophies, and covered essential topics like engagement and experimental thinking. Shahir Zag, Chief Creative Officer at Y&R Middle East and North Africa, also assisted in conducting the workshop. Additionally, Silvester delivered an interactive presentation covering his three most recent award-winning books, "How to Dominate the World," "Mobile Mania," and "How to Think Digital.", which took place the day before the workshop and was attended by all employees of MENACOM Jordan's six agencies.
Commenting on this initiative, the Chairman of MENACOM Jordan Sharif Abukhadra said: "This workshop comes as part of our continued efforts to invest in our employees by developing their skills and awareness. The event reflects MENACOM's unwavering commitment to promoting knowledge and experience sharing worldwide, and it also underscores the integral role played by MENACOM Jordan in reinforcing the image and foundations of the group on a regional scale."
"I was very intrigued by the prospect of bringing the wealth of knowledge and expertise amassed within these presentations and workshops to the Jordanian market," commented Silvester. "I was also particularly pleased with the culture of integration that obviously permeates MENACOM Jordan's agencies, which represent some of the most powerful brands in the regional media and advertising landscapes. This unique culture was amply reflected in the way these agencies came together to discuss the latest developments in the sciences of marketing and communication."
Silvester's experience as a marketing, communications and strategy specialist extends well over two decades, during which he has worked across the world on marketing and advertising strategies for countless key global brands, including Coca-Cola, Diageo, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, Honda, Lufthansa, Unilever, NEC and many others.
