Baghdad: At least nine killed in blast

A car bomb killed nine people and injured 18 in the Shi'ite Kadhimiya district of northwest Baghdad on Tuesday, police said, a day after seven car bombs killed 37 people across the Iraqi capital.

 

Security officials said a parked car rigged with explosives exploded around noon Tuesday on a busy commercial street in the neighborhood in northern Baghdad.

 

According to Reuters, police said the number of casualties could rise.
